Akisute (あきすて)
Akisute (also known as AKST) is a proficient scoreplayer in Embodiment of Scarlet Devil, Imperishable Night and Subterranean Animism.
Akisute was active between 2004 and 2008. During this time they rarely used the Japanese scoreboards. However, in these rare cases, the scores uploaded by this player demolish any competition due to unexpectedly high level of character handling and depth of research on the scoring opportunities at the time. Because of that, they were a unique Touhou player whose records haven't been beaten by anyone else for years. Akisute has also been seen participating in various IaMP tourneys since at least 2005.
The main records Akisute held were on the Easy, Normal and Hard Modes of IN, but also achieved records in EoSD. In EoSD the most notable score effort was during their grind of Normal ReimuB, whereby after five months they achieved a score of 303 million, on May 20, 2006. This is the first time EoSD reached 300 million on Normal.
On the Hard Mode of IN, Akisute was the first person to crack 5 billion, achieving this score on June 17, 2006. The domination streak of Akisute ended on April 3, 2008, when KWS overtook Akisute's Imperishable Night Easy Final-B record. A year later another blow was delivered by Kagamin (かがみん), who improved their Embodiment of Scarlet Devil Normal Marisa-A score by as much as 175k points, later taking the rest of their EoSD records, including their Normal ReimuB 303 million score, which took three years to be beaten. Akisute's first 5 billion record for IN Hard would also be beaten five years after achieving it, when YASU beat the score with a 5.113 billion run on December 21, 2011.
