However, if you're too high, you can get slammed by a laser as it's moving down into its final position. The final laser gap is slightly narrower than on Hard, so you do have to be more proactive about following her.

Bonus Fairies

This stage progresses behind the scenes during the mid-boss fight, and the quicker the mid-boss is shot down, the longer this section will last. On Hard or Lunatic difficulties, the additional pattern means that the mid-boss will take long enough for this section to be skipped entirely.
